About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Administrator. This is a brand-new position within the organization, designed to provide critical administrative, organizational, and coordination support to ensure our leagues, programs and events run smoothly.

As the Administrator, you will wear a few hats—from managing meeting logistics to drafting communications for our members. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter to gain hands-on experience in non-profit management, operations, and communications.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will vary, but will generally fall into three main categories:

1. Administration & Coordination

  • Plan and coordinate Leadership Team and Board meetings, including drafting agendas and taking accurate meeting minutes.

  • Assist with program scheduling, planning, and coordination.

  • Create and manage registration forms for upcoming leagues, programming and events.

  • Perform small financial tasks to support the Vice-President Finance and organizational budgeting.

2. Communications

  • Draft and distribute organizational emails to our mailing lists.

  • Update the PCV website with current news, schedules, and events.

  • Assist with social media content creation and management to engage our community.

3. General Support

  • Act as a point of contact for administrative inquiries.

  • Support the Leadership Team with ad-hoc projects as they arise.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills & Requirements:

  • Software Proficiency: Strong experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Communication: Excellent written communication skills (email drafting, editing, and note-taking).

  • Soft Skills: Highly organized with strong problem-solving abilities. You must be a self-starter who is comfortable taking initiative and working independently in a remote environment.

Nice-to-Have (Assets):

  • Experience with formal meeting management (agendas/minutes).

  • Experience with SharePoint, Canva, MailChimp, or TeamSnap.

  • Previous experience or interest in non-profit administration or sports management.

The Offer

  • Wage: $20 per hour, 5 hours per week for the term of the contract

  • Perks: Access to PCVperks, a discount program offering deals at hundreds of retailers and service providers.

  • Merch: Discounts on PCV merchandise.

  • Growth: Access to some online training and language training opportunities.

Diversity & Inclusion

Pride Capital Volleyball is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. We highly encourage applications from people who have experienced marginalization, including Indigenous people, racialized people, gay, bisexual, or queer people, trans or gender non-conforming people, and people with disabilities.
